It's just 6 weeks from Christmas, yes 6 weeks away!  We all look forward to the holidays and spending time with families to celebrate this festive season.  So now's your time to start planning!  We have compiled our 5 top destination ideas to share with you.  White Christmas? Sunny beach? It's up to you.

    1. Meeting Santa in Lapland, Finland

It's jingle bells all the way to the Santa Claus Village near Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland, where Santa dishes out presents 365 days a year. Lapland is where Father Christmas actually, truly, honestly lives so go and meet him!  You can also take sleighs pulled by dogs or Santa’s reindeer; skiing; cheering on reindeer races on frozen lakes; ice-fishing or snowmobile through forests.  There are a lot of activities to suit everyone.

The long polar nights from October to March also offer the chance to view the stunning aurora borealis (northern lights) at Lapland.

While you won’t find reindeer roaming the streets, you will be greeted by blankets of snow, bright light shows at Grand Central Station and perhaps one of the world’s most famous Christmas trees at Rockefeller Center. New York City effortlessly embraces Christmas festivities in its already brimming melting pot of arts, culture and character.
