Style Crush: Blake Lively

When Blake Lively first graced our screens in Gossip Girl, she quickly became a household name due to her impeccable style and her undeniable beauty. Although the show ended in 2012, the now pregnant start continues to shine on the red carpet, and over the years we have developed a crush and we know we aren’t the only ones.  

Although she has been busy promoting two of her new movies The Shallows and Café Society in Cannes, Blake has stolen the spotlight at almost every event she has attended with her stunning red carpet looks and her equally stunning baby bump. Here are our favourite looks of hers, from the Cannes Film Festival 2016.  

Vivienne Westwood ‘Cinderella’ Dress

It is clear which Disney Princess Blake is channeling with this Vivienne Westwood dress. This baby blue dress is exactly how we would have imagined Cinderella’s dress would look like if it was ever made. Every detail including her hair and accessories alluded to the famous Disney Princess and she made sure everyone knew as her Instagram post that day was captioned ‘Bibbidi bobbidi bling’. All that was missing was her prince charming Ryan Reynolds.

Giambattista Valli Dress

While attending The Shallows photocall, Blake took a break from her long gowns and wore a Giambattista Valli embellished mini dress, with a shoulder cape and Lorraine Schwartz accessories, showcasing her legs and barely there baby bump.

Blake Lively made sure to show us her versatility in Cannes, channeling a glamorous old Hollywood movie star, at the Café Society premiere. The actress embraced her baby bump wearing a fitted, sexy cut out Versace dress, stealing the spotlight once again.

Salvatore Ferragamo Dress Coat

At the gala dinner after the Café Society Premiere, Lively changed from her nude fitted Versace dress, to a Salvatore Ferragamo dress coat, again opting for Lorraine Schwartz accessories and Louboutin shoes. Because only Blake Lively can make a black feathered coat look that good!

Atelier Versace ‘Elsa’ Dress

Lively continued her homage to Disney, channeling the recent Disney princess Elsa from Frozen.  The tight sparkly off-the-shoulder Versace gown, had a long stunning train with a thigh high split, ensuring her baby bump was on full display.

Although her promotional tour at Cannes, is only a preview of Blake Lively’s unique and gorgeous fashion sense, it is clear to see why Lively is our Style Crush here at Pica Lela. The self-stylist continues to showcase her versatility time after time with her style choices. She also evidently appreciates Disney as much as we do, which makes us love her even more!
